What we're looking for
As a product owner, you lead our staff planning product. At KidsKonnect we take care of childcare, and the childcare staff is crucial to raise our next generation. As such, it’s our mission to build a state-of-the-art solution that creates both optimal plannings and employee satisfaction. As a product owner you drive product development together with a team of designers, engineers, QA and our business team, consisting of Sales, Customer Success, Consultancy and Support.
You’ll be responsible for guiding multiple products forward. You’ll work closely with both business and development teams, often 2–3 groups at the same time, and act as the link that keeps everyone aligned. The role is not just about managing backlogs and priorities, but also about building strong relationships, making pragmatic decisions, and keeping momentum when things get complex or change direction. If you enjoy tackling challenges, aren’t afraid of technical discussions, and know how to bring different perspectives together, this role will give you plenty of room to make an impact.

Main responsibilities:
Create product roadmap and backlog based on market opportunities and customer needs;
Gather user and business data and conduct market research where needed;
Identify, shape and specify product features and improvements that enable us to go to market, drive user adoption and increase user satisfaction;
Collaborate with your product team to set goals, build high quality features and help the team deliver the best ideas;
Collaborate with our business team and stakeholders to gather feedback and translate this to product initiatives;
Collaborate with our go-to-market team to launch new modules and features, and follow up on launches;
Triage bugs together with our Services organisation and follow up on these where needed;
Contribute to strategy development of new product initiatives;
Contribute to product operations to run the Product team ever smoother.
About you
You are passionate about creating meaningful and impactful software solutions for the childcare and primary education sector. You are driven to create the tools and apps for pedagogical employees and back-office staff. You are experienced in working in a SaaS-environment and have proven experience developing products for thousands of users, as well as specialised B2B SaaS tooling.
As a professional you are entrepreneurial, curious, pragmatic and organised. You are a clear communicator and have the ability to turn complex insights into understandable concepts. You are action-oriented while building connections.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as IT, Business Administration, or Product Management;
Experience as a Product Owner in a SaaS and/or B2C environment, with a strong interest in SaaS solutions, preferably involving mobile applications;
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and DevOps principles, as well as product discovery methodologies;
Experience managing complex product backlogs and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams;
Experience using customer insights, product data, and market research to shape product strategy;
Able to translate customer needs and pain points into actionable product features and roadmap priorities;
For this role, an excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written, is required.
