Today, there is a unique opportunity for a senior designer who is eager to impact a highly relevant industry. You will help build, lead, and sustain the next generation platform by leveraging best practices and establishing bar raising processes.  

About the job

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • You will create a scalable, consistent, intuitive, and user-friendly experience for the next generation platform
  • You will focus on a new UX/UI (MVP and next iterations) for planning and management solutions
  • You will map the user journeys for childcare professionals (planners, administrators, managers, and practitioners) together with the product teams
  • You wil be responsible for creating a design system including UI components, a consistent graphic style (including but not limited to typography, icons, illustrations, patterns, and buttons) to enable consistency, efficiency and scalability
  • You will set up the information structure and hierarchy
  • You will develop a coherent visual style and intuitive user experience
  • You will run strategy, user journey and ideation workshops with the product teams
  • You will work with an iterative, lean testing methodology
  • You will run usability tests with internal and customer focus groups
  • You will develop and design concepts and creative material
  • You will set up an efficient user centric design workflow / process within all squads using best practice design platforms such as Figma
  • You will report into the CPO   


About you

  • You have extensive design experience in design-led B2B / vertical SaaS organisations
  • Or you have extensive design experience in a design-led B2C organization or agencies
  • You have a hands-on, can do, get it done mentality, not shying away from doing groundwork yourself where needed for example by producing superior graphics or facilitating design sessions with product teams and users
  • You are able to design distinctive, intuitive, creative artefacts (wireframes, screen mockups, prototypes)
  • You are an expert in command of industry-standard design tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • You are experienced in conducting user research and user testing
  • You are in possesion of exceptional collaboration and communication skills especially in the context of cross-functional teams from product, engineering, sales, marketing, consultancy, and support
  • You have a demonstrable ability and willingness to develop innovative, exciting solutions to relevant problems

Our central and team meetings are in Almere. This means that we usually meet each other in Almere. We also have satellite offices in Kampen, Haarlem, IJsselmuiden, Hoorn, Leiden, Brunssum and Waalwijk.
