KidsKonnect is a successful, innovative, and fast-growing software company in the childcare industry. KidsKonnect was created by merging the best childcare software solutions. In the Netherlands, Belgium, and the UK, more than ten companies now serve over 1 million children aged 0 to 12 years with childcare software via the combined KidsKonnect platforms.

Our innovative software solution, KidsKonnect, consists of various applications, including portals and mobile apps, for different user groups. We continuously expand the functionality of these portals and apps. Additionally, we are constantly increasing the number of integrations with other systems.

About the role

In this key position, you will lead and optimize the group’s accounting processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting across all regions. You will manage the consolidation process, oversee tax compliance, and ensure robust internal controls are in place. As a hands-on leader, you will drive improvements in accounting operations, standardize processes across countries, and support the growth of a scalable, efficient financial function.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the group

• Leading the consolidation process and managing intercompany reconciliations

• Ensuring compliance with Dutch GAAP and other local statutory frameworks

• Overseeing and aligning accounting teams in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the UK

• Improving and automating accounting processes across regions

• Managing group-wide tax compliance and collaborating with external tax advisors

• Taking ownership of the Transfer Pricing policy and intercompany transactions

• Coordinating all external audit activities and ensuring timely audit deliverables

• Managing cashflow forecasting, liquidity, and bank relationships across jurisdictions

• Supporting treasury strategy and working capital optimization

• Collaborating with the CFO to select and implement scalable reporting tools and systems

What about you

We are looking for a Group Controller with:

• Proven experience in a senior accounting or Group Controller role within an international group structure

• Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP, IFRS, and familiarity with other local GAAPs

• Experience with multi-entity consolidations, intercompany processes, and managing external audits

• Solid understanding of cashflow management, treasury operations, and tax compliance

• Strong leadership capabilities, with experience managing cross-border teams

• Analytical mindset and attention to detail, with process ownership

• Qualified accountant (RA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Dutch.
